About company
The approximately 24,000 m² area of Bötzow Berlin has a captivating history, enormous potential and is located within a large planning area in the heart of the capital. In 2011, the managing director of the medical technology company Ottobock acquired the former Bötzow brewery (built from 1864 to 1884) and has since developed the site with the renowned architecture firm David Chipperfield Architects with great respect for the monument. The slogan for the construction project has been written in pink letters on the chimney since 2013: "Futuring". The fantasy word refers to an unfinished future that is in the making and at the same time is an invitation to actively shape it. Investor Hans Georg Näder has already started part of this future. In 2018, among others, the researchers and developers of the Ottobock Future Lab moved into their spaces on the listed area. The gradual revival of the former Bötzow brewery is therefore in full swing.
