Our school is designed as a six-year elementary school, ie we assume that we will work with the children for six years. The early school phase (Saph) includes grades one and two. There, the children of the first and second school years learn together. Children who need more time stay in the class for three years. The third year of school attendance is not counted towards compulsory schooling. We currently have to set up classes with 25/26 children. As a rule, two teachers work in each Saph class and give most of the lessons. Often there is also a sports / music teacher. For eight hours a week, both teachers are in the class at the same time and teach together or divide the class into two groups. We have very little space and therefore not enough class and division rooms, so that it is not possible to always teach two groups in two rooms. The changeover for the children and finding their way into everyday teaching with so many different people is often a challenge for those starting school. If you are unsure whether your child can handle the situation well, it's experience shows that a good decision to leave the child one more year in the day-care center where their needs can be better met than in the tight r organisier t s teaching and Everyday school life. The educators of the children from the supplementary care are also in class in the morning for up to six hours per week. The children from two classes are looked after by a team of educators in one ward during the care period. At the beginning (in the first school year) the children have 21 hours of lessons, plus (for some children) remedial lessons . Lessons for the little ones usually start at 8:30 a.m. After class, the children go to the supplementary care (after-school care center) - if they are registered there. You can use different service s ago modules and book after classes, which differ in duration. You will receive the form for applying for supplementary supervision when you register for school. After the start of school (Saph) the children move on to the third grade. From all currently seven Saph classes, new third classes will be formed. The children then have new classmates and new teachers. These teachers accompany the children up to the sixth grade (as long as nothing comes between them). So the classes have time to grow together and develop a beneficial working atmosphere. In the last school year, 70% of our students received a recommendation from a grammar school after the sixth grade. Basically you register your child at the primary school in your catchment area. If you would like your child to go to another school, please complete a retraining application when you register. The primary school in your catchment area will take care of all other formalities.
